Wine Tours

Brindabella Wine Tours is the touring arm of our company. We have been conducting Wine Tours of the Canberra District Wineries since 1998 and as such we are the only full-time Wine Tour operator in the Canberra District as well as the longest trading.

We conduct Wine Tours primarily for our Wine Club Members and these tours are free of charge. We ask Wine Club Members to provide us with at least 2 weeks prior notice of their intentions. Once a Wine Tour has been booked by a Wine Club Member for a specific day, cancellations are not possible without forfeiture of that benefit.

For the general public we now only take bookings for group tours: 4p as a minimum in one of our vehicles or larger groups of at least 15p in one of the buses that is available to us. We can cater for up to 48p on one of our larger vehicles.

If you are in a small group of 4p (minimum number) we join you up as an Wine Club Tour Member and you pay the joining fee of $150pp and are then entitled to travel out with us on a Wine Tour free of charge. We will collect you from your home or business (Canberra) and take you on a memorable Wine Tour of the Canberra District Wineries. Lunch is an optional extra charge. These tours are only offered at certain times of the year and with advanced notice.

The regular price of our Wine Tours, for the general public (including lunch) based on a minimum number of 4p, is $245pp.

For our larger tours our minimum number is 15 people and this number can go up to approximately 48 people.

With our larger groups, prices commence at $175pp for 15 people – including lunch – and there is a sliding price scale for groups with larger numbers.

Please note: all of our Wine Tours are fully inclusive ie we provide a car/bus, tour guide and/or driver. We arrange all bookings at the wineries including a talk by at least one of the wine-makers, a tour of a working winery and a walk through of one of the vineyards. We provide a tour guide who gives a commentary and who is responsible for the overall organisation of your day. We arrange lunch (usually a 3 course restaurant meal served with wines), bottles of drinking water for all our guests, maps of the wineries and a compendium of notes and maps.

We pride ourselves on designing tours to meet your special needs. We conduct Wine Tours for people who are genuinely interested in the region’s wines and we do not conduct Wine Tours for “hens’ parties”, “bucks parties” and the like. Nor do we under any circumstances conduct quick, short and cheaper Wine Tours.

We can discuss with you, pick up/set down points, wine tasting fees, the names of wineries that we visit, meal arrangements, dietary concerns and so forth.
